The first of its kind, the Independence Civic Center is
awesome in scope. It includes an 18,000 sf library and
a 57,000 sf Community Center with a natatorium, gymnasium,
running track, aerobics room, racquetball court, tiered
"movie theater", and multi-purpose dining room for 400 people.
The challenge on this project was to keep the County Library
functions separate from the City Community Center functions
yet both in an attached building on one site. Its handsome
Western Reserve style wrapped the harmony into the existing
City fabric. Construction Management brought this into a
reality with record speed and within an exact budget.
